Cleaning and wetting before use

1. Purpose

1. To make the filter cartridges more easily and more completely wet.
2. Ensure the accuracy of bubble point test.
3. To ensure the cleanliness of the filter cartridges.

2. Matters needing attention

1. The way of soaking is not recommended.
2. It is required to wash rapidly with high flow and pressure.
3. The flushing pressure difference shall be kept above 2 bar.

Cleaning and wetting methods 

1. Hydrophobic membrane filtration

The hydrophobic membrane filter cartridges is wetted with a 60% isopropanol aqueous solution, and the wetting process is the same as that of the hydrophilic membrane filter cartridges.

2. Hydrophilic membrane filter cartridge

1. Prepare filter components: filter, filter cartridge, pressure gauge, combination joint, water pump, pipe fittings.
2. Add 10L of pure water to the assembled system and check for leaks in the system.
3. Turn on the power switch of the water pump, and fully open the valve, and quickly flush for 5 to 10 seconds. The pressure of the pressure gauge controlled by the valve is adjusted to approximately P1=3±0.2bar.
4. It is recommended that the flow rate is greater than 15L/min per 10", and the wet filter cartridge is rinsed for about 20 minutes.
