Pleated Filter Cartridge Integrity Testing

BUBBLE POINT TESTS

PRECAUTIONS

  1. The test temperature should be kept at 23-25℃.
  2. The filter element must be fully wetted.
  3. Check the air tightness of the system before use.
  4. The machine is checked regularly.
  5. When the bubble point of the filter element is tested, ,if the P1 pressure value reaches 4 bar, and there is still no bubble in the downstream of the system, the test should be stopped at this time to avoid damage to the filter element. At this time, the bubble point of the filter element should be regarded as qualified.
  6. After the appearance of uniform bubbles, do not re pressurize easily. Do not stop the test until a large number of bubbles appear, otherwise it may break through the filter membrane or destroy the filter element structure.

All sterilization grade filter should be tested for integrity.

It is recommended that the sterilization grade filter element be tested for integrity before use (before sterilization, after sterilization) and after use, using the test methods approved by the verification guide lines.

Test before sterilization: make sure the filter is complete, the pore size is suitable, and the installation method in the filter housing is correct.

Integrity test after sterilization: to ensure that the filter can still maintain its integrity after sterilization. When performing the integrity test after sterilization, ensure that the downstream of the system is sterile.

Integrity test after use: Check whether the filter element leaks or perforates during the filtration process.
